Beading Instructions
Beading instructions are used on a wide scale to allow for proper jewelry making. It is very popular with beginners and experienced beaders alike
Beading instructions involve more than just stringing beads. The instructions guide the beader step by step from start to finish; list all materials needed in the preparation stage.
Jewelry making tools such as beading needle, round-nose pliers, flat pliers, snipe-nose pliers, top cutters, wire cutters, beading wire, ring gauge etc. Types and quantity of beads needed plus all other necessary materials needed to complete that particular piece of jewelry.
The instructions also include specific stitches, illustrations and guidlines. One basic stitch to learn, for example, is the square stitch.

Well, relax. It is a fairly easy stitch to learn. You will see this shortly with the instructions listed here.
Reach for your seed beads and pick out an assortment or your favourite colours. Thread your needle with about 75 cm of thread. In this practice run, be comfortable with the length of thread you choose.
It may be a little akward to hold the beads and thread taut in the one hand. This comes with practice.
Then get your beading needle and thread it. Now you are ready to start this stitch.

Place the needle through one of the beads then repeat this move through the same bead, and tie a knot. This bead now keeps the other beads from sliding off the thread.
Now thread the other beads as you did the first one until you have the length you need.
Turn the work and start working on row two.
Place the first bead on top of the last bead in row one then run the needle back through row one last bead and double back into the row first two beads then cut it flush.
Proceed in this method all through the second row. Keep doing this on each row until you get the width you need. The work should lay flat for you.
On the last stitch double back twice with the needle to hold it securely.
This can be used just for basic squares but can be used for other shapes too. You do this by adjusting the number of beads in the rows.
Design your own patterns. think of a theme or something that interest you then use this stitch by following the instructions.
Always start off with small projects when learning beading for the first time. The beading instructions should be straight forward and easily understood. This will ensure the completion og the jewelry of project.
